Course maps are on the website, and on a large signboard at the base of the pier. The Start Marshal will give a course and safety briefing.
The 2500km and 1400m events start from near the second landing stage on the pier
The Junior Dash starts from the first landings on the pier (200m events), or from the landing inside the Yacht Club Marina at the end of the Pier (300m events).
The 650m event starts from the Northern end of the Yacht Club marina – enter via the pier and walk through the marina – swimmers only. Allow at least 10 mins to walk there from the start of the pier.

Show your drivers license or other personal ID to the Registration Desk to collect your swim tag, t-shirt and gear bag.

[accordion-item title=”When are Race Start Times?”]
2500m 9:00 AM (All Divisions). Assemble on the landing or in the water at the start for a briefing at 8.50.
The Junior Dash Assembles on the pier at 9:45. First wave is at 10:00.
650m Intermediate Swim. First wave 10:50. Assemble 10 mins prior inside the marina NOT on the pier.
1.4 KM Swim. First wave is at 11:00 am. Open Division at 11:30. Assemble at the landing stage on the Pier 10 mins prior.

[accordion-item title=”What do I do if I am in difficulty?”]Raise your right arm and the lifesavers will assist.[/accordion-item]
[accordion-item title=”What water safety will be provided?”]
The course layout and signage will be arranged by the Brighton Lifesaving Club, who will attend with power water craft and lifesavers on surf skis. The Junior Dash will also be supervised from the pier.
The Lifesavers and Brighton Rotary’s Water Safety Officer can halt or modify races at any stage if there are concerns about weather or water conditions.
A First Aid tent is on the beach near the Finish Gate.

[accordion-item title=”How do I obtain race results and time?”]Final results and swim times will be available on the website about an hour after each race. Occasionally we have to adjust provisional times if we find the wrong timing tag number was used, it didn’t operate correctly or the swimmer started in the wrong swim wave.[/accordion-item]
[accordion-item title=”When are trophies announced and presented?”]
There will be an award presentation for each event about 20 minutes after the leading swimmers finish each race. Presentations for the 1400 m Open Division and is at about 12:15.
Random prizes will be drawn at each awards ceremony and during the morning.
