The Kieser Great Bayside Swim is presented for the Tenth year by The Rotary Club of Brighton, supported by our Event Partners.
Rotary International
Rotary is an international not-for-profit community organisation which has the objective of advancing international understanding, goodwill and peace. A major international project has been the campaign by Rotary and its partners including the World Health Organization to erradicate polio. Rotary worldwide has contributed more than $900 million to this project.
All proceeds from the Kieser Great Bayside Swim will be used by Rotary to support charities and community organisations providing support to disadvantaged children and youths. These include:
The Education Support Program of Bayside Community Information and Support Service Inc. (BayCISS)
For financially disadvantaged children in the Bayside and Kingston areas of Melbourne in conjunction with the Highett Branch of Bendigo Community Bank. The program funds essential student books, equipment, camps and other school activities not funded by Government or other sources.
Other Rotary programmes for youth include RYPEN, which provides residential seminars for young people, to broaden their social and cultural horizons and ROMAC, which provides life-saving and life-altering surgery in Australia for children from undeveloped countries in the Asia Pacific region, where suitable medical support is not available.
